What is Android "Nougat"?

Android "Nougat" or "N" is the upcoming major 7.0 release of the Android Operating System

it was first released as developer preview on March 9 2016.

Initial release date around "August or September 2016".

Developer Previews.

There are a total of five Android N preview release before the final release in the third quarter of 2016.

An updated preview is to be released each month 4 to 6 week interval .N developer preview emulator 

system image (32 bit & 64 bit) and Android TV (32 bit).

1. First developer preview started on March 9 2016.(initial release,Alpha)
2. second on April 13 2016.(incremental update,Alpha)
3. Third on May 18 2016.(incremental update,Beta)
4. Forth on June 15 2016.(final APIS and official SDK,Play publishing) 
5. Fifth in July.(near final system image for final testing)

Feature.

• Android "Nougat" introduces a split-screen multi-window,in which two app can be snapped to occupy halves of the screen.
